Policy Address Presentation and Graduation Ceremony of the 12th “Junior Chief Executives of Hong Kong”
2026-02-09

Our student , 3A LAI Sum Ching was selected two years ago to participate in the 12th “Junior Chief Executives of Hong Kong”, organized by The Boys' and Girls' Clubs Association of Hong Kong. This two-year programme focuses on children's rights and promotes children's participation. Recently, LAI successfully completed her term and attended the Policy Address Presentation and Graduation Ceremony, demonstrating exceptional critical thinking skills and a strong sense of civic responsibility.

Throughout her two-year tenure, LAI engaged in diverse activities to gain a deeper understanding of various social issues and represented the youth in submitting policy recommendations to the government. During the presentation, she and her team presented the topic "Enhancing Public Awareness of Cantonese." They proposed initiatives such as establishing Cantonese Corners within schools and organizing inter-school Cantonese quiz competitions to foster a supportive environment for using one's mother tongue. These efforts aim to encourage the younger generation to recognize, appreciate, and actively use their native language, thereby deepening their sense of identity and belonging to Hong Kong culture.

We congratulate LAI on the successful completion of her term. The school will continue to encourage students to participate in leadership training, nurturing them to become future pillars of society with independent thinking and a commitment to social responsibility.
