STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines - Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, in an interdisciplinary and applied approach. Our school adopts a 3-tier approach to promote STEM education.
STEM element is embedded into STEM-related subjects. Students are given the opportunity to engage in STEM projects as part of their Science and Computer Literacy curriculum from S1 to S3. Additionally, in the Computer Literacy curriculum from S1 to S2, students gain practical knowledge in areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Micro: bit, Python Programming, and 3D Printing.
We offer school-based STEM activities to cater to students with a strong interest in STEM. Our STEM Society organizes thematic activities for its members, such as the Forensic Science Workshop and Programmable Drone Experiential Day.
Furthermore, we actively encourage students to participate in external STEM competitions like the Joint School Science Exhibition, the Greater Bay Area STEM Excellence Award, and Elite Cup - STEM Education Challenge. These opportunities allow students to further enhance their skills in scientific investigation and invention.
