17 students joined GalaMusica ‧ School Creative Works 2024 which was organized by the Education Bureau on 26 Mar 2024 and obtained the Silver Award and Outstanding Creative Ideas Prize after the Preliminary Selection. Belows are the performance clip and song introduction:

“Desert Fantasy”

Both Chinese and Western musical instruments are involved in this piece to portray the exotic scene of a desert.

The frail traveler wanders around on his own, step by step, on this wasteland flooded by sand. He was dazed by his extreme weakness, the scene that bestowed before his eyes becoming more and more distorted, gradually being consumed by the illusion. There is a rosy picture which he can never see in the desert. People are all holding glasses of wine in their hands, dancing with glowing smiles on their faces. Some even sing along with the melody being played by different instruments. Not far away lies the spring he had been craving for. He crawls on the ground to get to it and eventually puts his hand in the cool water. Time seems to have frozen at the moment, and the sensation on his right hand was swiftly magnified. He can feel the liquid flowing and intertwining on his dry skin, as if the spring shower moistens the arid lands. With all his remaining strength, he lifts himself up and tries to drink from the spring by extending his tongue—

Is the reassuring feeling emanating from the spring merely a comfort for the dead, or a reward for the survivor?
