Our school's Citizenship and Social Development Department organized a study trip to Huizhou for the Mainland China Innovation and Technology Exploration from 25 to 26 March 2024. The purpose of this trip was to help S5 students gain an understanding of Chinese culture and modern life, experience the local customs and traditions through field visits, and explore the development and changes of Chinese culture in contemporary society from multiple perspectives.

During the two-day trip, the students visited the Jinmaoyuan Surface Treatment Loop Economy Industrial Park in Boluo, where they learned how innovative technology is used to reduce pollution and promote environmental protection in the process of industrialization in mainland China. They also visited the Boluo Overseas Chinese Secondary School, where they toured the Communist Party History Corridor and engaged in sports, calligraphy, and art exchanges with the students and teachers of Boluo Secondary School, fostering friendship and mutual understanding. Additionally, the students visited famous historical sites and tourist spots in Huizhou, including the Dongpo Temple, West Lake in the Old Town, Chaoting Gate, and Shuidong Street.
