National Education Assembly: China's Minorities

On 12/3/2024, the Moral, Civic and National Education Committee organized a national education assembly with the theme of China's minorities. The assembly was organized by four students who had participated in the "Constitution and Basic Law Student Campus Ambassador Training Program". They invited four S5 students to share the customs, religious beliefs, culture, traditional costumes and languages ​​of the Miao, Naxi, Tibetan, and Dai ethnic groups. This session also included a question and answer segment, where students who answered correctly received an exquisite gifts from the corresponding ethnic groups. The students responded enthusiastically, deepening their understanding of minority culture.

 

Additionally, the organizing committee invited the school's Chinese Orchestra to perform Tatar folk songs, and 5D Xie Puiting to perform the Dai peacock dance, allowing students to showcase their talents and infused the event with a vibrant atmosphere.

 

Finally, the host encouraged students to visit the magnificent mountains and rivers of our motherland to broaden their horizon. If any future opportunities to engage with our country's minorities, it was emphasized that students should respect and appreciate their cultures and promote cultural integration.
