“Active Talent” Adventure Training Camp
2025-05-03

Our school's " Active Talent " program held a two-day, one-night adventure training camp at the Hong Kong Playground Association Tung Chung Camp on 2 and 3 May 2025. Under the guidance of teachers and camp instructors, students began with ice-breaking games, exchanging seats through eye contact to get to know new friends. The "Pictionary" segment brought delightful surprises as they discovered each other's humorous sides, quickly bonding through laughter.

The highlight came in the evening. Students worked together—some gathering wood and straw, others starting the fire. Thanks to everyone's cooperation, the bonfire was successfully built. What began as a small flame grew fiercer in the darkness, igniting excitement in all of us. Finally, with the bonfire placed at the center, students danced around it, played games, and revaled in youthful energy. To conclude, following the instructor's guidance, they lay on the ground, gazing at the starry sky, leaving their worries behind and embracing the tranquility of nature.

On the second day, students tackled more challenging adventure activities. First was "Retrieving Objects from Afar," where they formed human chains, holding tightly to guide teammates to complete the task—teaching us the meaning of trust and unity. Next was scaling the "High Wall," with everyone taking on different roles: some served as stepping stones, others provided protection, and some pulled teammates up with all their strength. As time passed, exhaustion set in, but no one gave up. Everyone fulfilled their role, ensuring every student conquered the wall. The activity demanded immense physical effort but also brought invaluable rewards—precious friendships, perseverance, courage to challenge oneself, and teamwork. It was truly an unforgettable experience.
