Our students, Hau Tin Ching (3A) and So Wing Yan (3A), participated in the National Education Association's sponsored "The Belt and Road Initiative: Quanzhou and Xiamen Historical and Cultural Exchange" study tour from December 22 to 26, 2024.
During the tour, the students visited various attractions including Luoyang Bridge (Wanan Bridge), Qingjing Temple (former residence of the ancient prince of Sogdiana), one of China's four ancient bridges, Kaiyuan Temple, Zhongguo Tower, Ancient Ship Exhibition Hall, and Gulangyu Island (a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site since 2017). They also visited Huaqiao University, Xiamen University, and exchanged performances with Liuwudian Middle School, gaining a deep understanding of the close relationship between ancient China during the Tang and Song dynasties and the countries along the Belt and Road today. This experience helped them comprehend the development of the Belt and Road Initiative, which will be beneficial for their future personal development.
